About Us and Our History
I began creating small woodcrafts when I was a kid with my dad. We would spend hours in the shop just having fun, making kites and my dad would work on the hand crafted custom western wagons that he loved. As I got older, the projects got bigger. My dad and my grandfather were both true craftsmen. I was fortunate that my dad took the time to show me how to use hand tools, pay attention to the small details and ensure that each product I made was of the best quality I could achieve. There was no rush in his approach when it came to creating and teaching me the skills I carried into adulthood.
I began passing on the skills I learned from my father when my children were entering into their teen years as a way to connect, grow our relationships and share my passion for woodworking. Fortunately both of my children loved being out in the shop, hanging out, designing and building projects for around the house and their bedrooms.
My son has a keen eye for detail and is very methodical in his approach to getting everything just right. My daughter is a complete hippie from another era and loves to design and create. We always say she was born in the wrong era as she typically puts and 60s, 70s spin on the projects she most enjoys.
As they are now young adults and out on their own, we began designing, customizing and creating rustic farmhouse style furniture and décor. It started off with friends and family asking if we could create end tables, coffee tables and sofa tables. We love seeing the joy from our customers, friends and family when we have created a piece that is special and memorable to them.
We’ve built and donated our work to Austin Pets Alive to help save unwanted animals in the hopes they will be adopted. We also donated to the Lone Star Cattlemen Foundation which distributes money across the state to FFA programs to inspire the next generation of Farmer’s and Ranchers. Both of my children participated in FFA during their high school years.
I love the process of working with my customer to take a vision to a fully completed project. There is no greater accomplishment then creating something unique from and idea to finished product that can be cherished for years to come.
We would love to work with you and guide you through the process of selecting the right material, drafting the design and taking you along the journey that ends with a unique piece of furniture, art, rustic decor finding a personal spot in your home.
